Yes, but hes a shell of himself. Ive seen them twice. Once was on the Load tour in 96, the other was the Death Magnetic tour in 09. He was barely the same guy.

He has changed but it was probably for the better, he needed to sort out his life. Even if that meant his live shows didn't match the ones before he went into rehab.

During their Damaged Justice tour they where probably one of the best live metal acts ever. I won't say that they were better than Maiden on their World Slavery Tour but definitely up there. Hetfield was a beast back then.

"Track 1- Enter Sandman (7:27)

Features the classic Metallica concert opener with the opera-like song. "

I am surprised no one pointed this out. That opener is not From Metallica and, not an opera song. that's The Ecstasy of Gold from the Good, Bad, and The Ugly soundtrack.

Good review though.

Probably the best live album ever behind Made in Japan by Deep Purple.

Had a few hours free the other day and just jammed the entire concert off this, i’ve had it for years but i think i’ve only managed to listen to the full things all together a handfull of times due to how long it is. Still amazing though, the version of motorbreath on here is amazing aswell (as is everything else to be fair.)

Metallica tour, coming to WI later this year - oh boy! *checks tix prices*
$280ish for even nosebleed seats? gtfo

i saw them years ago on their St. Anger tour (which they thankfully didn't even play too much of), so I think I'm good. Plus Godsmack opened for them and blew them out of the water.

What kind of bad dream did you have?

280 each?? Holy fuck that's a bit much.

I saw them in Toronto in the summer of 2017 and ticket prices were less than half that.

I've seen Godsmack live twice. Good band for sure, a lot of fun. But they don't touch Metallica.

was prolly just my show then. metallica had no energy and seemed to be phoning it in, while Godsmack rocked hard.
