Do I have to give it to them? :/. Sounding unique doesn't necessarily mean sounding good. A few songs can be removed from here. Anyway both of us will probably remain steadfast with our opinions.

I enjoyed them when I first heard them, but even then I had a tough time listening to their albums completely.

What songs bug you to the point where you actually want to remove them from the album?

I'm listening to bits of the album now, Exploder, Bring em back alive, The Last Remaining Light are pretty weak, and the other songs can get really exhausting. They're not really doing anything fresh and as a result the songwriting can sound too linear. Also it feels way too candidly recorded. Alright bring on the hate.

Cochise is pretty kick ass. The first half of the album is pretty strong.

I'm such a fanboy for this album. I haven't heard in years, though, so I'll have to hear it again soon.

I can see Exploder, but not Last Remaining Light or Bring Em Back alive. Those are actually my two favorites off the album. Especially Last Remaining Light. That song is gorgeous.

Agree to disagree then. I don't think there are many songs I can still listen to without skipping bits

of.

Eh, decent album to me. I absolutely love Audioslave's following two albums, but the majority of these

songs just sounds like Rage decided to play the music like a typical Rage song, and Chris just sang

over it, and I don't think Cornell's voice works well with Morello's signature riffs here. It just

seems to me like there's too big of a contrast. Though it is their first effort together after all,

so I understand them being a little shaky the first time trying to find a sound that complements both

their styles; a sound which I think is significantly evident on Out of Exile and

Revelations.

I actually like this album. It's not great, it's got a lot of run-of-the-mill songs, but a couple of great standouts make it a worthy listen. Probably a 3, maybe, maybe a 3.5.

The review isn't so good, though.

Whats with the reviewer talking about the guitar playing like RATMs was so legendary. It sounds good but just like Audioslave its not that complicated.

Fairly solid album I suppose

I really like 'Cochise', though i'm pretty biased since it was in the Iron Man 1 trailer and I remember loving that trailer a lot

Still, I like Cornell's voice
