I love Mastodon so much. Solid band. The guitar work, vocals. The bass stands out in Mastodon, too. Easily one of my favorite albums of all time. Seabeast and Blood And Thunder are my favorites.

This is the album that got me into them, and is still my favorite of theirs. Blood Mountain is great but it lost a lot of their sludge which is one of the things I loved about them.

I adore this album, it's one of my all-time favourite metal albums. It certainly has some downsides to it, but overally it's just fantastic. It has great replay value, too. I'm still not bored of it.
I didn't like this review very much, however. It was more of a commentary on what you were hearing than an actual review, which is fine, I just didn't...enjoy reading it.

A great album on first listen, some simple yet really effective riffage that grabs the listener's attention and holds it really well. Great lyrics too.

Incredible album, caught between a 4 and 4.5. Not sure if i like this more or less than Blood Mountain.
Hearts Alive is one of the best songs i've heard in a while. Blood and Thunder aint too shabby either.
