It's not, but the opinion isn't exactly blasphemous. Both albums are awesome (& different).

Post grunge is what we more derisively refer to as buttrock. Nickelback, Creed, etc. I like some actual grunge (AIC, Melvins, and Soundgarden especially), but post-grunge is mostly shite.
This isn't that. Nor is Radiohead, for that matter.
Maybe I should write a better review of this. It would be my first serious review, after the Christian and the Hedgehog Boys one.

Are we still arguing against this review? Best post-grudge or actual grundge band ever.

Nothing like arguing over genre tags on a decade-old review written by a guy who prob hasn't thought about this site in years

There is definitely some grunge influence in sludge metal (bearing in mind that AIC, Soundgarden, and Melvins are on the metal archives thanks to their heavy Sabbath influence anyway), so it's not crazy to say grunge influenced Acid Bath. It's just that "post grunge" in practice basically means buttrock, which we can all agree they aren't.
Definitely a classic regardless. One of the best uses of eclectic sounds while still keeping an overall theme.
