Virus is a shoe in for best rap song ever.
|

Good rhymes, but I'm not digging all the beats. Del is still a beast, though.
|
| |
Virus is deinitely my fave song here.
|
| |
Yeah, it's good. I just wish there were more rockin' beats like on Both Sides of the Brain.

Listened twice today. The only song I don't absolutely love is Love Story, and I still like it quite a bit. It's easily my favorite Del release.

thinking i should knock this down since i haven't listened to it in like a year but there's so much nostalgia/i'm too lazy to try and separate my past emotions towards this and give it a rating more applicable to how i feel about it now
idk i think i'll just listen again and see how i feel

So kids, I've had this forever, loving a few tracks off it but thinking a lot of it was pretty meh. Listened today all the way through (skipped a few skits) and almost blew my load. What a fucking awesome and unique album this is.
"i'm caught in the grip of the city...madness"
chambered that part of that song is so damn awesome.

i think this album is a tad over-rated..
this album has some mind-blowing tracks like 3030, mastermind and madness, but i definitely think the majority on this album are just alright. either way, i will never get sick of 3030, this song made me love hip hop.
oh yeah, i almost forgot virus.. siiick

^I actually agree with you that some songs are just alright. But I would make my list of mind-blowing tacks larger:
3030, mastermind, madness, virus, positive contact, things you can do.
But the I also think songs like Upgrade and Time Keeps on Slipping are really good too.
Then there are a couple I usually don't play. My 4.5 might seem kind of high when that's all considered but I think the tracks considered "mind-blowing" are all some of the best hip-hop tracks EVER created. And even when the album hits a low point, the organic production and Del's unique style and flow still make it very interesting IMO.
