Disc one is a 4 all by itself and disc two is like a 2.5, but together they really pack a punch. I mean combined isn't a whole lot better than just disc one by itself, it's just a bit more expansive.

A 3 is the highest I could go, but that might be only because I know they were meant to be synced. I guess what I mean is that my brain won't let me hear either disc by itself without thinking that it isn't really complete played separate from the other.
Edit: And like you said, disc two def gets the short end of that deal.

Hmmm, never thought of it that way. Maybe Wake/Lift would change my perspective though, this is the only Rosetta I have given the time of day.

Okay I will. There is seriously like a whole GB of unlistened music on my itunes though, so it'll be a while unless I get a particularly strong urge for more post-metal soon.

And even though it will take me forever to listen to just what I have, I am never satisfied with my collection haha, so I have to constantly be getting more stuff. It's like a god damn gateway drug.

adding disc 2 adds so much more depth and makes it more dense, gives it more atmosphere and adds to the punch of the 1st disc. There are so many little touches and layers. I'm still discovering them and ive listened to this album countless times.
