Spun this album twice this week and it might be the best pop rock album of the 2000s. Absolutely incredible choruses all the way through. Every song could have been a single. Band messed up releasing them all on the same album. Could have had a great career had they sprinkled 3 or so of these tracks across multiple releases.
Edit: went a page back and see I had a similar sentiment revisiting in 2021. Rating bump!

Haha, yeah these guys' success was short lived. I'd always rather an artist release one excellent album than a series of okay ones just for the sake of longevity, so I have no qualms with all the good stuff being here (although, as I said two comments up, I still enjoy Love Drunk).

I feel like this band and We The Kings are in sort of a similar tier in terms of making a splash and then immediately flaming out

I agree, fairly similar trajectories. And yes, I agree I am happy that this album is just jam packed and would rather have an excellent album, BUT I think the band could have had a longer, potentially more successful career had they been able to spread it out and create a real discog.
Because of you, I will retry Love Drunk but I am not looking forward to it at all.

Don't waste your time on Love Drunk. When I said I enjoy Love Drunk I never meant to imply that it's good. It's total boyband bs, but I just have some great memories with it that for some reason allow me to see past its glaring flaws. It's catchy at times, I guess.

Not sure why I decided to revisit this last month, but in a weird speaking things into existence way, Boys Like Girls just dropped their first single in like a decade and are apparently back? New single was fine. It'll never live up to this, but it could score some radio play and some nostalgia cash-in.
