not as good as KWAS but still a very good album. Great lyrics as well.

This album left me wanting a little more. There are definitely some stand-out tracks ("Boneyards," "Dead Man's Chest," "Feed Them To The Pigs"), but I think that "Horizons" definitely falls short of "Killing With A Smile" (which happens to be one of my all-time favorite hardcore albums). It seems to just lack the overall intensity and sense of urgency that KWAS delivers.

Both albums definitely have some KILLER breakdowns, though, if you're into that kind of thing.

It really shames me to see you bash on the lyrics in this album. Would you rather hear a band screaming about blood, guts, other typical metal shit... or would you rather hear lyrics from the heart? ‘every scar still bares your name, every scar still bares an angel's face’ is one of the most powerful lines on the album. you couldn't write a line as powerful as that unless you had a past experience... i love hearing of their past hardships, their descriptions are second to none. i can get such vivid emotions and feelings from most songs.... and if they choose to write a song about a girl in her last moments at the hospital, then what the hell do you expect the lyrics to sound like? ‘they can’t wipe the blood from her eyes’ is a bit emo, but it goes with the song and message. fail review=fail, i don't care what you say.

roflmao 'every scar still bares your name, every scar still bares an angel's face' is one of the worst lines in a song i've ever heard, and if you think it's good than you're an idiot. i never implied that they should sing abotu blood guts or gore, there are many other themes they could sing about.

their descriptions are pretty much second to everyone

^nice, my favorite line on the album. This is really not close to KWAS, but it's fun in it's own metalcore-y way. Looking forward to hearing something new from these guys.

ya, they took a step away from their hardcore roots on "horizons." still, you gotta admit, "carrion" is one of their best songs. "horizons" is still good. it just doesn't touch "killing with a smile.

Yeah, Horizons was much more mettle. Carrion, Boneyards and Idols & Anchors are probably my favs off the record.

Still like KWAS better.

The vocals on this are much improved, as is the guitar work. All in all, I just like more songs off Horizons

^fair enough, KWAS was just a record I loved when it came out and has a more hardcore edge to it which I dig. ut I agree that the vocals and guitar work display more talent on Horizons.
