Hahahahaha I know I know. I really don't care how fast I am to jump on the bandwagon, all that matters is that I follow my list next to my computer hahaha.

To tell you the truth Crimson, I've been digging a few of your recommendations lately...ie. Moontower by Dan Swano, Oracle Moon by Garden of Shadows, and I have Crimson coming in the mail. Cheers for having good tastes in music ! This Message Edited On 06.29.08

Couple spins so far and i gotta say this is some great stuff...3.5 for now because most melo-death bores me after a couple listens but this seems like it will stick...Tre'ast and A Natural Apostasy are my two favorites at the moment but all have great moments...

Sorry for double post but i've changed my opinion...this album is sickeningly good...i don't like melo-death very much but this has the atmospherics and power to hold me throughout...the interlude could be a little shorter, that's really my only problem...the closer and A Natual Apostasy are mind-blowingly good.

Unbelievable that this is a first album, much like with The Shrouded Divine, both have a power that few seasoned vets of metal can achieve...crimson you win again

Can't wait for their next album, it's going to be great, might not top this, but still, from what I've heard it's at least going to be a 4. I'd be happy with that.

I think they're new album will definetly top this. Great starting point to reflect on and make improvements. We know what they're capable of pulling but i'm confident it will.

You heard that album then? Best post metal record so far in 2008 and one of my favs overall. Most likely I will get around to it. You can do it if you want, i'm thinking about going an experimental route and doing some punk/hardcore, and pop reviews.

yea i haven't done a metal review (the genre that comprises most of my listening) in a long time...prob in a week or 2 i'll get it up...

Related...Most of the time i need a vocalist with a lot of verstility but for his he just suits the music and has enough power to overcome his somewhat rangeless approach...plus his UGH in Sanguinary is perfect

two or three songs in a live setting, I'm pretty sure you can find them on youtube. Search 'be'lakor Aspect', can't remember the others.

And have they announced when their next will be coming out?
Yeah, I interviewed them for a webzine and one of my questions was about it, got this response:

"...the new album is nearing completion. It’s still untitled. We expect it to have eight songs and a play time of around 55 minutes. I don’t want to say things like “It sounds like this, or it has more of these influences,” because these statements give people expectations that usually aren’t accurate. All I know is that I really like the new music and I can’t wait to listen to the album as a whole. We’re booked to record it in January of next year, so a release anywhere around March/April of 2009 is realistic."

Super, i'll search the song now...and i'm glad they're not lame like most other band giving a whole, "Well our next album will be much heavier but at the same time more melodic, with king crimson progressive influence and waking the cadaver brutality inter-twined with Sigur Ros's new album's beauty"

The Great Cold Distance, Discouraged Ones, or Viva Emptieness, and Brave Murder Day for old doomy and heavy Katatonia.

But i'm looking forward to this new album, I like the label they're on who should also pick up Bilocate.
