Waking the Fallen was good. No wait, it was really good actually. Then City of Evil was sort of average.

Hell, I don't even want to know what this is. I heard Critical Acclaim and I think thats enough.

I didn't sign up just to say this album is good and never comment on anything else ever again. So don't go assuming shit.

Something about political lyrics or something.

It's funny how they blame rich people for pointing figures at the poor people, but what are they dooooing.

That's right, we have rich people pointing fingers at rich people pointing fingers at poor people. Sounds like....

The album is good, its just people don't understand bands developing their stlye. You would complain if they did the same metalcore albums again and again

Avenged Seven Fold. They are a band. A band who can play their instruments. A

band that can listen to a piece of music and comprehend what style it is. A band

that uses drums and guitars both bass and electric. A band with a singer who used

to scream a lot and now not so much. They most likely listen to music through

their Ipod in one form or another as most people are apt to do. Mix a little bit of

Pantera Soundgarden Linking Park Shadows Fall My Chemical Romance a lot of

Guns And Roses some Elton John Poison Muse Opeth and Avenged Sevenfold and

you get the new self titled album. Call it User Illusion 3 or Avenged Sevenfold's

White Album. Like the original White Album the styles are all over the place. Just

when you think all is right with this band with the song Lost they let T Pain sing

backing vocals. Say what you will about the band M Shadows has developed the

smoothest flow from kinda screaming to singing out there today without

Britnitizing his vocals. Synister Gates and the other guitarist play well together with

the drummer. I know they got a bassist only because almost every band has one

right. People that aren't fans of this band admittedly I'm somewhat new thanks to

TRL and COE might hear their sound and go no fast drumming all the time. First

off if you want every song to sound like the opening for Hot For Teacher you might

be dissiapointed. Nothing to do with metal but this band can write some good pop

tunes. Led Zepplin also wrote some songs that strayed from the norm of their

style. Hate all you want on that comment. I am not saying that they are as good as

them at all. Look out for the new album by Nas. As a side note when it comes to

screaming. Doesn't Fall Out Boy do some screaming.

First off AVX7 is pretty cool getting shout outs and respect from the likes of Metallica - after all they did make And Justice For All - then they decided to broaden their musicianship by learning how to play country. Screw metal that's the real devil music. With the last track Avenged Sevenfold learned to do the same. Everyone put your horns in the air and wave them around like you just don't care.

Did we just have someone come to metal, call our passion devil music, while praising And Justice For All, and then praise ONE track, quite possibly the worst, from a horrible album?

The fact of the matter is of all types of music when it comes to ignorant people

metal is the one associated with devil music. I am not associating it with devil

music but there is a stigma about metal in it's many many forms from Black Metal

Death Metal all the way to Math Metal? from those that don't listen to it with an

open ear. And again yes devil music could be taken literally with some European

Black Metal Bands. So once again not dissing metal as devil music. My point was

to

say that country sucks (add your own animal here) balls. And AVX7 looks to be

going the way of country with their last track. Basically all this talk about this cd is

to justify my purchasing this cd at the local Target. I figured COE was cool this

could be as well. I am more into hip hop like TI Nas and Kanye but I got

a killer stereo system and cracking up rap music isn't the same as cranking up

some Cannibal Corpse or Pantera. Until I got on this forum I thought System of a

Down and Coheed and Cambria were heavy. In the end if according to the majority

of you all I did was buy a mediocre cd, at least the sound quality sounds great on

my Martin Logans. I work at an AV store and was showing some speakers to

someone who likes metal. I popped in track 8 which is Lost on the cd which shall

now remain nameless and the customer told me it was a bad copy of Dragon

Force's style. I downloaded some songs from Dragon Force and was amazed at

how fast they play. As for the comment about the devil horns in the air - I was a

little high. This Message Edited On 11.13.07This Message Edited On 11.13.07

Look at the the bolded sentence. The confusing and nonsensical parts are underlined.

You're still high.

This album really killed it for me. A7X goes pop...lol...

Yeah, I pretty much am so unsatisfied that i've completely stopped listening to them. City of Evil was my favorite album with Waking the Fallen in close 2nd. This record was the definition of sell-out. I'll prolly never buy another record again unless I hear a bit more effort from their part.

The only thing that kept me from rating this trash a one was Critical Acclaim and Scream. Those tracks while still mediocre, were a decent listen but forgetable nonetheless...
