I knew this album was different when I first got it a while ago, but damit! I listened to a song today after a long time of gathering dust and it sounds like it was recorded through a telephone. It really works in all its weirdness. Hetfield's barking, Ulrich's strange drum performance (no rhythm is good rhythm, at least here) and that damn 7 min monotony. It's insanity done in the right way
