The 4-song streak from Poet to Cadence is golden. If they kept that momentum up for the entire album it could’ve been a 4

Funny how much love Eva, 7 Days and Master Passion gets on here, since those are the ones I often skip from time to time lol . The first four songs, Islander, Sahara and Whoever Brings the Night rule, and the rest are just ok imo

I think the reason I gravitate towards the poppier stuff on here is because Annette’s vocals fit with them so well (Poet being an exception because the composition itself steals the show for the most part). Especially the more upbeat stuff, whereas on Meadows of Heaven it kinda gets awkward after a while. But that’s just me

Amaranth is still one of the worst symphonic metal songs I've ever heard

Maybe I need to give Eva another chance since so many people speak highly of it
Also harsh lol, I think Amaranthe is pretty enjoyable for the most part. Though the chorus does sound a bit flat

Walking in the Air is still their top ballad for me, followed by Forever Yours

They did a pretty damn good cover of High Hopes on End Of An Era. Funny enough that was my introduction to Pink Floyd way back in the mid 2000s

I only listened to the original High Hopes very recently and found it way lacking compared to the Nightwish cover lol

Pretty killer
I would cut maybe two of the lesser songs here, but this just slaps pretty hard
