All of their albums are awesome, this and Jane Doe a bit more so.

I think You Fail Me is my favorite now. This was my first converge album though, and everytime I hear the Saddest Day, I get goosebumps.

Saddest Day isn't the best song on the album.
Dead and A Farewell Note to this City are among my favourites.

The Saddest Day is one of them. Its practically their one most epic and well constructed songs. Everyone into them has that as their fave usually at one point or another.

This is probably the most overrated Converge album. It still rules really hard, but on the whole, their stuff after this album is better.

True, for me this is like Blood Sugar Sex Magik, it's a totally different sound and a good album for that sound but after this they just totally redefined themselves and I prefer anything with their new sound.

I thought you didn't like No Heroes so much?

It's pretty bad, but honestly, I'd probably still rather listen to that album than this. "The Saddest Day" is sooooo brutal though

Were you high when you wrote that Luke? hahahaha
This is probably one of the worst metal albums I've ever heard. I bought it along time ago because it was recommended to me by a friend. The production is paper thin, the guitars, drums and bass are beyond sloppy and the vocals are just atrocious. I really like what Converge has become (Jane Doe and so on) but this album is just a mess of unorganized music. Thats just the way I see it. Flame me all you want, the album to me just flat out sucks. And yes I get these guys hahaha, I love their newer albums.

i think this is their best so idk lol

Hahahahah alot of people will disagree with me on that one. Thank you for not flaming my opinion. Jane Doe and No Heroes have me jumping off the walls tbh.
I haven't listened to this in a while, so I will give it another shot (even though I've given it enough chances to sink in). This Message Edited On 02.17.08

The production, from what I hear, melds all the instruments together to make it sound really sloppy. I don't know, thats the only way I can explain it. The album just feels half ass. I'm in the process of listening to this again right now.

I have the reissue. I just listened to it twice. Sticking with my 1 rating. I will try again in a year.
