Excellent review, and a fantastic album. This band hans't failed me yet. However, miscarriage off the Miasma album is still my favourite. That song is addictive I tell you!

Im sure this band is atleast pretty good. But in regards to deathcore, i kind of skipped them over and now their sound is just to boring for me to even want to listen to more then a song or two
i missed out

This isnt Deathcore. This has nothing to do with any kind of -core. The only reason people say that is because their early demos were influenced by Metalcore. This album is straight up Melodic Death/Black Metal.

Yeah I'd call this Melodeath. Maybe just straight death. Idk, i'm not much of a genre nazi. regardless... it's really good.

Straigh up Death Metal and Melo-Death both fit this. Anything but Metalcore or Deathcore though. There are no pig squeals or Metalcore like breakdowns on this album.

ah okay well i havent listened to them very deeply so its a bit hard to tell the specific genre. But i dont think "pig squeels" can determine a bands genre but ok ill take your word for it. But i will say this is NOT straight death metal.

Album/band is really gay. Could care less if this is less -core than Miasma or Unhallowed, it still really sucks. This Message Edited On 04.22.08

Elitist, unsupported argument. As always soh, you're making yourself look foolish. Especially when you use the word gay in a derogatory sense.

Could care less how I use the word "gay".

TBDM are like a dumbed version of Myrkskog (in the sense of this album, seeing as how they make use of a black metal influence). Everything about TBDM reeks 2nd-rate, from the laughable vocals to the lame guitars.

Don't you have some medication to take or something, looney boy? This Message Edited On 04.22.08
