It felt like garbage if they had never heard of dynamics...I enjoyed the atmosphere and the vocals, it just seemed soooo flat to me. Might just be lack of plays though

I like Garbage (especially their second album), and this defintely doesn't have the energy level or diversity of that album. Walking With Strangers has a better chance than any of their other albums of you enjoying it, but the goth influence keeps these guys pretty focused on a mid-paced tempo that doesn't really change too much, and they basically use the same sounds/ideas in each song with simple variations.

I guess I haven't had much exposure to anything "goth" per se, so I won't give up but was really shocked at how little the sound varies
