I think some people dont like this band because of the crowd they attract...A lot of you can deny it all you want, but deep down inside i know it bothers some of you. Hell it even bothers me, and i like this album...too bad it come out the same time as i lay dying did, otherwise i might actually listen to it more than 5 times.

I think what aggravates most people that don't like TDWP is that a lot of their fans seem to think they're true metal, and technically, they're not; they're more of a scene band with death growls here and there, and aren't spectacular musicians. I personally like this band for what they are, but can see why so many Sputnikers hate them, and agree with some of the hating.

I just spent 10 minutes reading over all the posts and i lawled for a good while. I believe in God but consider myself agnostic. Regardless of the religious content in this album (which, mind you, is still terrible) the music is just flat out boring. At some point someone asked for 5 other bands that sound like these guys?
hell, i won't even waste my time. just listen to any band off of their record label (rise records) they all sound the goddam same.
Their is not a thing unique about this band. They're not metal. They're not br00tal.
I'm so sick of this music.

Are you kidding me? Honestly? I go to an indie show with a daughters shirt on. I go to a daughters show with an elliott smith shirt on. I don't look like I fit anywhere, and could care less. If I like the music, I don't care about the other people that listen to it which I'm sure the majority of people that come to this site with any sense of musical taste can agree on. We listen to music for the music, because we find something redeeming in the technique, the lyrics, the melodies, the chaos or the beauty of the music. Not a single redeeming thing is in something like this, other than you can throw your fists at the ground when you're listening to it and look like a douche bag. People don't go to nu-hardcore shows to listen to the music, they do it because they're angsty pre-teen/teenage kids trying to let out (what they think is) aggression.

No, not all of them do. There are different kinds of Agnostics that follow different sets of beliefs.

Agnosticism is pretty varied and broad in what it can encompass, but thats not the focus right now. The focus is that Rise Records promotes naming bands after unfitting literary/film titles.
