Jay is better than Joey technically, just Joey suited Slipknot's style better.

His drumming is brutal af but Dave's was more tasteful and creative imo. Similar to what you're saying about Joey, post-RIB Dave WAS Slayer for me. I mean I don't even like the slow style on Seasons but I'll happily listen to that whole album just for Dave's fills.
