I find this the third best album by Opeth, after Blackwater Park and Heritage. The first two Opeth

albums are only next to average, in my opinion. They're fairly standard melodic death, not much better

than the first realeases by In Flames or Dark Tranquillity.

I can admit that Alex's review is pretty good, even if I disagree with pretty much everything he says.

I mean. This is a great review and all, but it ain't too convincing when only 109 people thought this deserved a lower score than a 3/5, as opposed to the other 3856 people who rated this thing. Not only that, but the majority of the reviews are glowing with positivity of this record and are scattered about everywhere. Idk man, I'm really not as picky as those select 109 people.

yeah well if this is your kinda music then sure it's likely in a way that you'll dig this but other people's opinions shouldn't really be a factor for your own enjoyment
