The production and vocals on this album make me want to kill myself.

Some good riffs and instumental playing.

IMO music has to sound good and sound cool, not just sound cool.

SOME good riffs. Just listen to Jump In THe Fire. Possibly Dave Mustaine's (yes he wrote it...) best riffs ever. Hetfields high notes are a bit crap, but woteva. The solos are manic and very good and overall the album is a masterpiece in the thrash metal genre.

seek and destroy isn't a good song, actually is the worst song in this album...the riffs are veeeeery slow and the singing is crap

Apparently, if anything is slow, it's a bad song.

A very very good album by metallica, Cliff is insane. I think the four horsemen is the best song off this album, Hit the lights is also a great song. Anestesia is a great song for bass players its easy to play but is really fun. 4.5/5

Seek and Destroy was the worst? I've never heard that before.

well personally i dont like that track...i know it may sound crazy but i think, out of the 4 first metallica albums, seek and destroy is one of the poorest tracks...along with, say, escape, trapped under ice, harvester of sorrow

Great reviews

Not as good as the next 3 Metallica albums, but definitely a great start for them. The Four Horsemen is the best song on the album.

i really don't like this album because the music drownes out the singing, and james sounds like a cat getting it's balls stepped on!

Only let down on this album is, as the reviews mentions, the 'scratchy vocals'

It doesn't get much better than this. A classic. This is my favorite Metallica album. Everything on it is superb. Amazing riffs on this, this is a great album for people just getting into guitar. They can get thier practice with this album. Good review, although a little short.
