exactly, stop generalizing scene. Not everyone dresses that way and is a waste of space. It's simple: for the most part, if you're a bamboozle/warped tour band you're a scene band. And I agree with ilikemusicthatsucks there are some great ones. personally i love fall of troy circa and thursday but mewithoutyou and many others are great

Chan makes a good point. If what you say is true, Say Anything, Coheed & Cambria, Emmure, Protest The Hero and Dillinger Escape Plan are apparently all scene. Which I'm pretty much positive is not true.
Got this record after contemplating on whether or not to do so for awhile. It has some pretty good tracks, but there's a lot of really boring ones as well. The echoe-y, atmospheric style intrigued me at first, but it's grown off me since due to the band's lackluster execution of it.This Message Edited On 05.23.08

...coheed is a scene band. The third album was fantastic, the new album was really disappointing. And I like Kezia better than Fortress I think fortress is overtly complicated

i need to give this another chance as i've been really into post-hardcore recently, but these guys were nothing special live. the best thing they have going for them is anthony green's vocals and he doesn't scream anymore and acts like a homo on stage :P

Again, you can't just compare other bands to circa survive, I don't think they sound anything like the mars volta and omars sometimes sassy voice with the tons of instruments the band showcases, and also you can't say its boring bc it all depends on what mood the song can take you, to me they have become meaningful songs, it all depends on what you wanna claim as boring.
