It's burzum's best album with songs under ten minutes long at least, but overall it still comes damn close in my opinion. The second in a wonderfully successful triumvirate of albums by Burzum, songs such as 'Snu Mikrokosmos Tegn' and 'Key to the Gate' are so spiritually charged ou ma yourself feel as if you're floating in space. That said, 'Det som Engang Var' should please all fans of darkly hypnotic metal.
