Why is their debut rated bottom by a half fathom on rym
|
| |
Album Rating: 2.5
Because that's probably the least hyped of their albums and people don't like exploring things.

Because it's not the trout mask replica of scene kid post-hardcore and pitchfork didn't do a retrospective

jonny i probably never even listened to this album. I've probably only heard Young Machetes but it's a 5/5 and the first song on all the other albums probably make them look inferior but i will put the work in today and rank the discog even though it means i have to hear new music by a band that i've already heard their magnum opus. how annoying =)

Still my favorite post-hardcore band. Introduced me to a whole new world of music. Loveee Crimes, but prefer Piano Island and Young Machetes overall. Electric Children is also incredible

If y'all dig this and haven't heard it, Neon Blonde's "Chandeliers in Savannah" is a great companion piece that was recorded same period by drummer Mark and vocalist, Johnny Whitney.
