It is too bad that it doesn't end with an epic.

What makes Jane Doe so special? I explained my side of the story.
Also, I will concede that JD has the better flow and structure.. but imo YFM wins on other points that I mentioned

thanks
JD > basically every album ever

Hard to explain what makes Jane Doe so special. The structure is perfect as tracks like Hell to Pay are in the perfect place, the songs themselves are just amazing, the flow is perfect, the riffs are intense, the bass adds a lot, the drums rape, and the vocals are just overwhelming in their raw emotional release.

What about the dark, bleak, brooding moodiness of YFM?
|

It really kinda depends on how loud and expensive your headphones are

Obviously I love this, but it just isn't as good.

Jane Doe becomes perfect during the "I'll take my love to the grave" refrain. That part seriously touches something in me every time I hear it. After that there's a plateau of face-raping amazingness that's almost like a high. Honestly Jane Doe is the best album ever. This is really close to a 5 but Jane Doe I would rate a 6 if I could.
