I used to only really like a few songs on White Pony and mildly enjoy the rest, but suddenly both White Pony and this album (that I didn't really care for at all) grew on me.

This album is growing on me majorly. At first I thought it was one of their weaker releases but now its becoming one of my favorites. I wish Pink Cellphone wasnt on it, otherwise it would probably be tied with the self-titled as my favorite Deftones album.

Yess, someone else who agrees that Deftones go down extremely smooth with bands reminiscent of Thrice/Glassjaw/Thursday. They were always unfairly lumped with the nu-metal dog shit of the late 90's/early 2000's, just like the three aforementioned bands have always been unfairly lumped with other punk/hardcore garbage.
