I don't have a problem with light music, I just feel like the abrasiveness of this album is not genuine and it feels forced. The riffs are mediocre, the vocals are horrendous, the melodies are non existent, and it doesn't flow at all. most songs have the exact same vocal melody and I hate it.
Also what music is "Kid Friendly" of mine?

I agree it's better than Blood Mountain (my least favorite Mastodon record) but definitely not Leviathan, and I'd have to listen to Crack the Skye again.
I enjoyed the hunter, typically will listen to it when I'm doing work. It's kind of whatever music, if you know what I mean

well no, this rules and there are songs on here that are better than some Leviathan songs, e.g. march of the fireants, where strides the behemoth, trilobite, mother puncher.
but Leviathan is best, as it has best writing, more polishes but not too polished, lots of great riffs, and especially aqua dementia and hearts alive!! (best mastodon song)
