Tool lyrics are some of the worst I ever heard but Tool haters' favorite bands have even worse lyrics so that even things out. H. has genuinely great lyrics, rest of their discography - not so much.
Current 93 cca. 92-98 era was the only artist with decent lyrics in the history of western music. All other musicians are pretty much a joke lyric-wise, although Joanna Newsom and Van Morrison can be fun if I lower my standards a couple of levels.
