I always find the divisiveness over the vocals really interesting. Dude is a defining feature of the band and an important part of what makes them great. Slaughterhouse stands out here for being the only track I tend to skip and it's almost exclusively because the guest vocals (though really well-executed) don't hit for me. Bryan's timbre just fits so perfectly

His chemistry with Poppy is incredible, tbh I want a full EP of them working together and a tour please.

No clue why they didn't just make Poppy another official member tbh

That would be sick
And yeah the vocals make this band like 10x more intense, much like the guitar tone
Don’t get why he’s a controversial choice. Although apparently so is Jens from Meshuggah and I had no idea some people didn’t like him until I was much later in life.

Just listened twice in a row for the first time in awhile — I’ve listened to tracks, but been close to a year since a front to back listen. Has to bump to a 4.5.
Great shit. Not as good as A Tear but not tooo far behind. Main complaint is still that it’s a little short for an LP. Should have 2 or 3 more tracks. Just not sure why it’s considered an LP at that length, but whatever, it’s a compliment when your main complaint is that it’s so good that you want more, and they don’t give you what you want, waaaaahhhh!!

Sit & Mourn is a mood for sure. I also like that Bryan plays guitar live on it

Sit & Mourn has the atmosphere of something like The Road by Cormac McCarthy. 2 people trying to survive a desolate wasteland.
