Was listening to some shit on shuffle today and I Am Dog Now came on, and holy shit the production is sooo bad in that context. Both new songs sound like you’re throwing a king-size comforter over the speaker. So damn muffled and cloudy sounding. If they just boosted the high end a bit it would help noticeably. Really hope this mix improves before they release.

I Am Dog Now sounded muddy and amateurish to me too, and not in a cool gritty way. thought this album nailed their aesthetic, shame if they've dropped the ball there
don't mind it on Masc though (might change my mind if I jammed with headphones) - shit sounds like if Narrow Head were a good band with a good vocalist

Re: production, I think the guitar tones on this and the new one are magnificent and don't need much changing, but the drums can be a bit too muddy... I wonder what it'd sound like with a patented John Stanier snare, for example, that just cuts through the mix like a warm knife through butte.
