It isn't my favourite record, but it's at least a 4.0/5.0. If we're talking great bm or at least bm-influenced records, Agalloch's Ashes Against the Grain is probably the pinnacle.

See ashes of the grain continues to do nothing for me. IDK why. Marrow of the Spirit on the other hand....was my #2 for the decade. I listen to it almost every night as I go to sleep.

i mean probably true but also there's only so many times in a row that I can hear Ashes' ultracrisp tones without the whole thing seeming deja vu
apart from Fire Above, that one mixes up its palette the best
