Caught em open for spiritbox in London back in july. I always liked them but they blew me away live and have been jamming them religiously since

Nice, I know nothing about their live shows. Was wondering if they'd be like Deftones in the sense that they can barely perform their material live anywhere near as convincingly

Though it can't be said often enough, how much this rules. This record appeared right when Black Peaks and Arcane Roots disbanded

Album is unbelievably good yeah. Band in general is. Seeing them live further cemented that fact.

Aggressive Evolution chorus is just *chefs kiss*

I've never seen these dudes live but I always assumed they would be very good. Gored would be great to see

Yeah the heavy stuff translates much better live. Still think the heavy songs sound kinda sloppy on record but Gored live was absolutely off the chain lol

They're not doing themselves a favour, that's for sure. It's not like they're alread super established

I'm like 99.9% sure they'll be dropping a new album at some point next year. We just gotta hold out a lil while longer!

Man, this album is special. I wasn’t much into Deftones growing up so I don’t have the “deftones worship” thoughts going through my head while spinning this, based on a lot of the criticism I see around this I think that’s the main negative for many

I’ve listened to this for a solid 3 years now and I can confidently say this is one of the best Metalcore (being that term extremely broad) albums I’ve ever heard. The track-by-track variety keeps it engaging from beginning to end, at least for me. I bumped this down from a 5 cuz I felt like I was a prisoner of the moment but now I think I need to bump it back up lol

A Sad Cartoon is literally a perfect song imo, the thought of writing that composition blows my mind

Absolutely cannot wait to hear where they go from here. They established themselves with this big time to say the least. I think when I first discovered them a couple years ago they only had like 200k monthly listeners on Spotify. Now they're at 1.3 mil 🤯

A Sad Cartoon is indeed peak Deftones worship
