It's not so much the try hard element it's the fact she's seriously barking up the wrong tree.
She's obviously a total clueless arsehole. Good album though.

I'd be in that crew. Gotta have your integrity dudes, never compromise otherwise we'd all sound like we were in bands post 2000.

Generally out there right now, there's two main categories of music people: those who stroke over what's popular (Grammy crowd, your neighbor, their dumb family) and those who stroke over what's alternative (Pitchfork, VICE, 'my sexuality is an ever-shifting spectrum depending on whether I'm listening to Bjork or Morrissey', etc.). Users here try to stroke over both, but not at the same time. And users here also try and diffuse stroking for the other group when they're currently stroking in the opposite group.

That's where jazz comes in.
|

I feel most get enough jazz from other genres it has influenced or is infused in. I love some jazz records, but it's a priority for the populace as much as advanced levels of calculus for an average undergraduate student.

I was taking the piss but it's ok cos flug dude just mentioned little fluffy clouds in The Orb thread so everything is cool.
|

It is entertaining though because the people who berate others for their taste to the point of badgering annoyance are so socially awkward and filled with anxiety that if the same event popped up in their daily life they couldn't reach the cognitive capacity and emotional strength to even come close to holding a fire to the banter they so thoughtfully and angrily threw together at a stranger over an optic fiber.
