Kurt was the worst part of this band. He made it work, but he really can't fucking sing without studio magic.
Glad he's gone, same way I felt when he was kicked from dgd.

I'm bummed Kurt left, and I hope the band can vill the void vocally. He improved a lot as a live singer in the last few years... I guess someone "not being able to sing" is relative, but I'm pretty confident in saying he can sing circles around a lot of the vocalists in the post hardcore genre.

I absolutely hated Conversation Piece when it first dropped because I thought Plan B was brilliant and CP felt too DGDish, but I've really come to love Kurt being in the band and I grew to love Conversation Piece too. I'm super bummed that he left and I have no idea how the band plans to rebound

The new bassist will be doing some vocals as well, no idea what he sounds like though.

I personally love Kurt's voice, studio magic or not. He always kills it live the times I've seen him whether he's playing with ALLB or doing his solo stuff. Here's hoping the bassist has secretly been an amazing singer this whole time.
Also, sup swordsforhands!

Why'd Kurt leave?

He Seems like a level headed guy, and worked well with allb and dgd. Why does he keep getting voted out
|

Goddamnit, first he gets kicked out of DGD, now ALLB. I can't imagine Kurt doing anything to get himself kicked out, I know that with DGD is was creative differences but with ALLB I think he and the band were pretty much on the same page. Really wondering about what happened here.

I think Calc might have got the reason right, especially if Cory is to "express his lyrics more melodically" which means more spoken word parts, which means more dark, sad ("emo") lyricism and (I hope not) if Franzino is going to "spice it up" with his parts similiar to what alone. was this may be a true miss for ALLB because everything can go so wrong so easily.

i heard he got kicked out of dgd cuz he has no range. here I think it's "creative differences" and I have a sneaking suspicion guitars will be an afterthought in the next album. i really really hope not though

Any of you brats realised this is fucking shit yet?

Not as good as CP obviously. CP is my favorite.

Nah, he got kicked out of DGD because Will thought they couldn't take their sound any further with Kurt and he was afraid the screams would disappear and DGD would get poppier (which is exactly what is happening now though). There's an interview on YouTube where he talks about it.

Is that true? I figured they gave Kurt the boot because they wanted to replace him with Craig (and we know how well that went). That sounds like a rather bullshit reason from Will when Kurt and Jonny sound similar enough that it wouldn't matter. Having Mess leave and losing their harsh vocalist is what would turn them poppier
