Anyone knows can I induce a second puberty kind of happening at my age in order to be able to enjoy Kayo Dot again? I'm 1OOO% serious.

Does anyone truly enjoy the first five minutes of black stone? I have tried to start this record from start to finish so many times but that first five minutes is hilariously bad in all the worst ways. Even if that was the intention I'm not sure I understand the thought process on that one. The back half of the tune is something else though, maybe that's the point? I guess what I am asking can anyone honestly say that's their favorite part of the record?

lol no. would honestly rather jam the backend of On Limpid Form on repeat than ever hear that opening again

The opening is rough to get through. I appreciate the atmosphere it builds, and there's a lot of cool stuff going on with the bass and drums, but those vocals...man haha. They leave a lot to be desired.

Absolute masterpiece. This is a piece of music only true artists can conceive. This and Choirs are more than just music, they are masterworks of art. The sounds in here cast colors, images and emotions with such a beautiful and sincere intensity only a very sensitive soul could make it happen. I think Toby may be a HSP, and I love it. Btw the opening is incredibly theatrical, not for everyone but I definitely love it to death.

Based album is based. 100 minutes long, kicking off the first 5 with an avant-garde grizzly bear mating call.

Dowsing, Blue Lam and Coffins blend well with a lot of playlists, but most Kayo albums are a once in a whole plunge for when I need to remind myself that I actually enjoy music not build for mindless bop consumption

Most Kayo Dot albums fit the mood for me around autumn, but Coffins on Io is a late night summer album.

Yeah Black Stone I used to think was laugh out loud hilarious because I wasn't familiar with this bands approach to humor/self awareness. Now that I am more familiar with the band the first six minutes of that tune are great (although totally ridiculous)
