Well, this was literally my first Karnivool album, for some reason a buddy of mine was adamant that I get into it. Sound Awake was a revelation afterwards, and I kind of liked this less after that. At that point I could actually hear what everyone was bitching about with Asymmetry

I really appreciate the esthetic this record captures. It's a celebration of imperfection and kind of ugliness. But overall it's a too demanding listen to be over one hour long in my opinion.

goddamn we were such idiots to give up on this one so quickly. Has grown over the years to rival their previous two for me. Some weak tracks but their best songs are probably on this album.
