@josh that's why i was skeptical to listen for so long, there's so much generic and terribly produced metalcore out there. Guess I shouldn't have underestimated Shai. everything sounds great here, love the dynamics of the vox.

yeah the vocalist is great, the lyrics are great, and the structure of the songs is really varied. And its the same old Shai Hulud.

did you even listen to the album? I mean a 2.0? that's some silly shit. I mean opinions are opinions I guess, but this is a hell of a lot better than a lot of the music that has come out this year.

I don't really see how it's generic. The band is just reinvigorating the sound they essentially helped pioneer. They sound a bit more energetic and impassioned on this than on Misanthropy Pure, in my opinion.

eh that might be true. misanthropy pure sucks too. they might both be like 2.3's in my book. the production on this absolutely blew imo, it ruined everything for me. it just felt commonplace and boring

What, do you not like crisp, clean, airy production? you must have got a bad torrent or some shit. The album version of the audio has great production.

the album's production sounds like the album art, if that makes any sense

grey, gritty, clear but with an edge

Production never bothers me on an album unless it renders it completely indecipherable. Though I do prefer a more organic sound compared to something pristine, it doesn't affect my overall thoughts of the music.

i dont get any grit on this. same problem i had with the new misery signals. bland, over produced metalcore, tired riffs, all that. nothing here interested me and I absolutely hated how the vocals were produced

They have like a million people on backing vocals. How can you not like that?

it's more punk than most metalcore

What didn't you like about the vocals?
