Bit overrated yep. It just seemed like they were getting some of their spirit back from two dogshit albums in a row, so things got a lil inflated

Some decent bits here but it was still firmly a part of their downfall

It's a step down from their golden age but still decent and a definite improvement compared to RTR and STYE. The Mirror's Truth EP that came after this album was actually pretty good and had me a little hopeful that they were on the path to redemption.

But then they proceeded to drop 5 horrible albums back to back and completely destroyed their legacy.

Yeah I dunno, I never got why this was so well received. I go back to it every couple of years and give it a full listen through just to make sure I'm not crazy, but every time I just think

"nope, this kinda sucks"

I really liked this when it came out. I still do, but the songs are a little samey.



I used to listen to this and DT's The Gallery interchangeably during study hall and there was no cognitive dissonance whatsoever lol. This was before I discovered what everyone thought about In Flames. I kind of miss those times. I would just hop between new IF, old IF, new DT, and old DT, and to me it was all quality stuff.

I first started getting into In Flames right when Come Clarity was released. I did enjoy this album but I distinctly remember thinking (after going through their discography) that their old stuff blew their newer stuff out of the water.

Lol I remember actually being fairly sad about it at the time.
