Burden is alright, and so is The Drapery Falls, which was another single, but I'd hardly call them the best tracks on the album.

Drapery, Funeral, Dirge, Bleak and Harvest are average at best. That said, Leper and Blackwater are amongst Opeth's best. I'd even say Blackwater is their best song.

Bleak is their best song! What you on about? Harvest is great and Draper and Funeral are at least solid songs. I do have a slight issue with Dirge (it's fucking boring), hence why I put it as 4.5, but that's it really

gotta agree with jamie about the album picking up at nepenthe. not that the first 4 tracks arent excellent, i just feel that nepenthe, haxprocess, famine, and folklore are the highlights here

Funeral lacks creativity for me, Drapery drags and harvest again lacks creativity (think Pink Floyd).

Any reason you don't like Bleak? I agree with Drapery dragging on too long, but it still has some great moments like the end of the second chorus
Haven't actually listened to Orchid and Morningrise, so I can't comment on that

morningrise is awesome bro. unique in their catalog for having some sweet bass guitar. much better than orchid imo. to bid you farewell is one of their best songs
