Convinced that the low rating on this is the Sputnik follow-the-leader syndrome or whatever the fuck happens here

This album solidified me as a fan, production is almost my favorite aspect of the album, low end is so chunky

Yeah bass is crisp as pommes. I do think that it's a fucking monolith and jammin' it from start to end it's not that pleasant. Aside from the tracks they do live I'm indifferent to the rest

Or maybe it's because the stupid "progressive" sections are out of place and weird

I don't really get the low ratings for this album either. Even the couple of subpar tracks like Divisions has their high points.

I'm not necessarily saying a 3.4 is low I'm just saying the 3.4 on this compared to the 3.9 on Constellations and R&R is an unwarranted difference, and I think this is much more enjoyable than the new record

Empire does rule, along with Pangaea and the intro riff to Boys of Fall is so dope. Title track is one of my favorite ABR tracks ever.

Coming from someone who isnt a big abr fan but gives them a fair chance tbh the average seems quite appropriate

Abr are always very technically solid and well grounded but they just lack that special something that makes them standout or special (on this album and rescue and restore at least, only 2 ive heard)

It's the only track from this album that I find myself coming back too
