It's probably a production thing in a lot of ways but Aaron's drumming strikes me as more ferocious and energetic. DD's drumming totally gets the job done but his playing feels thin in comparison.

no specific thing as far as I know, it was just the DTGL lineup that reformed because that was the album they were touring. plus to be honest a lot of fans listen for Aaron

it's grown on me a bit (well, I have listened maybe 20 times now so maybe that makes sense) but still feels a bit meh. as another user put it, "sounds like underoath on auto-pilot" and I'd have to agree. it's catchy but lacks that punch I come to expect from their last few albums. still think the new album will be dope. if "On My Teeth" ends up being one of the stronger tracks on the album, I'd predict a 3-3.5 rating from me
