Very different albums imo, I wouldn't even compare them. Still digesting the Parallax II, I might 5 it someday.

yea this is a lot more metalcore/death metalish than parallax 2. both perfect in their own ways

Still got more riffs to remember or find worthily rememberable on The Parallax II. Alaska is just classic BTBAM, and if people can't see the awesomeness of each song including Autodidact, The Primer, and Roboturner then they aren't listening properly.

well i wouldnt say 'properly' that sounds kinda elitist lol, but yeah those songs take a while to grow especially roboturner and croakies. those were probably my least favorite at first but now i love em (although croakies is probably my least fav still). roboturner is filled with awesome riffs

Okay 'properly' wasn't the best way to put it. This album as a whole takes a while to grow and to realize how awesome each song is.

For people who've played out Colors and don't like the new album I could agree with that. It is pretty timeless.

Wow 7 years? Butterflies are born and die in this time period! I think its safe to say this will never
get old.

If you can listen to an album consistently for 7 years and still really enjoy it must be pretty damn good. I think Dark Side is perfect in every way, to each little detail that just makes that album so alive, it certainly a classic album imo. I love Alaska as much but in a different way, the songs and the lyrics have always resonated with me.
