There's something to be said about coherency vs. being flashy just 'cause you can (sup protest the hero), haha.
That's why a band like Symphony X makes me want to puke.

I'm glad we've reached mutual understanding. Let's dissect some more BTBAM later; gonna go eat Mexican.

Here, here, hitman!
I understand, Waior. But I think this is where our paths divide again. I love those two bands you mentioned, plus all those other flashy ones.
Damn, you guys are cooler than I thought...sniff...
|
| |
I feel left out of the love fest, me the biggest BTBAM fanboy of you all prolly lol
|
| |
3.5?! Biggest fanboy?! PUH-LEEEEEEEEZ
Obfuscation could seriously be a Colours track. Fits weird into Misdirect.
|
| |
haha though the more I listen to this the more I feel the need to bump it up, though it's still nowhere near Colors. . . though nothing is
|
| |
I'll just keep wait..AHEM..I mean...
I'LL JUST KEEP WAITING, YOU'LL JUST KEEP WAITING
|
| |
ah phooey I guess I'm too good for your elite BTBAM group lol
|
| |
That's the thing hitman, it really has no structure when you compare it to the other Misdirect songs. That's why I think it would fit well in Colours.
Nah, Walls, you coo', you coo'. Not as coo' as these muthas up in herr, but you still coo'.
|
| |
Yeah, that's probably true. Hell, I've listened to Viridian maybe twice in my whole life. As for The Backtrack, once. And never again.

Haha, 'The Backtrack' is lazy but Veridian is too impressive to let slip by. That being said, Briggs' solo in 'Disease, Injury, Madness' is a much better developed version of 'Veridian'.

I wish this didn't have 13 or whatever reiviews so I could review this.
|
| |
Viridian's great, no doubt, but after the fury of the tracks before it, why would I honestly listen to it? It should have been an intro or outro; not in the middle.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: I bet Rogers programmed that arp at the end of Backtrack, the sonofabitch.

On the Colors Live dvd it doesn't look like he's playing anything, looks like he's doing a chord, but then again I could be wrong, I dunno keys really

Yeah, I thought it was peculiar how they wouldn't show his fingers up close on that part when they
do on other parts of the DVD.
|

I was just thinking that Walls. He appears to be playing the background chords, he's a noob.
He really got better on Misdirect though, in terms of skill. You can hear it. And no, I don't mean the Moon solo.
OHSHI! The secret is out!
|
| |
well he's still not up to par with anyone else in the band. . . at either vocals or keys

The more prevalent keys on this album are awesome, yeah, despite Rogers' epileptic freak out on Moon.
|
| |
Now Walls, you can't just compare a vocalist/keys to a guitarist or bassist. But I still conclude that Rogers holds his own in the band, no question about it.
Even better, he uses some sweet sounding patches on this. Anyone remember the organ from Ants? Good song, but fuck it was annoying.
