I'm not a huge fan of TSOP's vox either & that's despite being a huge Death fan who can also listen to higher-pitched shrieks in other metal (mostly BM).

Yeah i mean it fits a lot better in BM or even Blackgaze a la Deafheaven, but in Death ... idk. Maybe i will change my mind, but i like the deeper tone more now

Yeah, the vocals on that album never really agreed with me either. But his vox on everything up to and including Symbolic are good, TSoP is the only album he uses that approach on.



Also ITP should take priority over the others cuz best Death record.

Id say its on par with Scream Bloody Gore. Though simplistic it may be, that album set the foundation for everything to come, and really perfected the bands sound so early on

SBG is great, but I really do like this more. I mean the production on this makes it sound so damn heavy. The loud ass snare on this is so brutal, I love it haha
