"That site hates on every album. It's why I came here, where people just hate on each other instead."

“every Beatles album has skips“ Revolver and Abbey Road would like a word

Martha is nice, but I always felt Rocky Raccoon was the most slept on here. Top 5 Paul song for me

Every Paul song other than Money Money and the medley bombs on Abbey

You Never Give Me Your Money is the best song on the album though.

Disagree, but more importantly Abbey Road has enough contenders for best song that the accolade isn't particularly important - whatever you choose is never going to be the best track by that wide a margin

It has a lot of great tracks but that one takes the cake for me. It is just a golden melody.

Taxman is a silly way to start the album and is as conceptually banal as you can get, it just reminds me of Paperback Writer which is the same level of banal but a lot more conventually rock'n'roll, and it's not even on the album.

“Every Paul song other than Money and the medley bombs on Abbey” so just Maxwell’s Silver Hammer then? Lol. It was disliked by all the other members too, but I’ve always dug.

“Taxman is a silly way to start the album and is as conceptually banal as you can get” 97% of this band’s songs are about love or doing drugs or some combination of both, I’m cool with George getting one to bitch about taxes

Have you guys heard the new mixes? Revolver tracks sound nice.

Yes, and Revolver needed it desperately. Original stereo mix is admittedly pretty awful, new mix really lets the music breathe, absolutely the “essential” version of the record. Also brought forth some subtle things that were lost in the original mix, like the yawn on I’m Only Sleeping.

It does have its share of unavoidable problems- Mix on She Said, for instance, is kinda eh. Don’t think the software could easily separate the guitars, so in the new mix they’re kinda on top of each other. Still, I’ll take it.

Would’ve thought this was your best Beatles Ars.

Quirky, eclectic bag of all sorts.
