'The best line in Limousine is clearly the sad messiah line.
And in the choir, I saw a sad messiah
He was tired and bored of my laments
Said "I died for you one time, but never again."
Instant chills man.'
that line is brilliant and everything about the song after that is just feels
I think actually I prefer the solo in between that line and the 'i love you so much' part to the solo at the end. it's subtle but so effective

Well it's been like 9 years since this came out, and I've been jamming it exceptionally hard the past few
weeks. I have to say it still gives me chills. When Lacey screams, I'm not you're friend, not you're
lover, not you're family...when he says "do you think that we can work out something, so I'll know it's
you and that it's over so I won't even try / I know you'll come for the people like me" on Jesus
Christ...the whole fucking timespan from the beginning of Limousine to the end of You Won't Know...the
shrill scream at the end of Luca. This is hands down the best album I've heard in my entire life. I go
through phases, sometimes spanning multiple years, where I get into different styles of music and this
sits on the back burner. Sometimes I even think this is as low as my 3rd or 4th favorite album, but then
the ones I'd place ahead of it fade out and this always remains steadfastly jaw-dropping, spine-tingling,
chill-inducing, and gut-wrenching as ever. I love how I can walk away from it for 5 or 6 months, revisit
it, and it has an entirely new but equally profound meaning to me. I've never heard an album that conveys
emotion on such a raw and fundamentally human level. It's fucking brilliant. I look at where I was
practically a decade ago and remember this album meant so fucking much to me, and that's half of what it
means to me now. Limousine in particular practically reduced me to tears the other day in the car,
remembering one of my best friends in college who died getting t-boned by a truck. I should be
laughing right now followed by the guitar solo. Everything about that song, goddamn. This album is
the closest thing to music that is literally a part of me, or an extension of me. It is fucking perfect.
