look, there's some good black metal, it just has to not be produced like its in someones reverberated bathroom and not be nazi shit.

tundra continuning his bizarre tirade thinking anyone who finds shite djent boring is an avid black metal fan?

“ anyone who finds shite djent boring is an avid black metal fan”
This is it. The dichotomy that will separate the factions who’ll head into musical combat. The gods of nerdom be still!

on the real i actually am curious what the overlap is between people who dislike this and people who loved, for example, Terrasite. it's probably smaller than i was seemingly envisioning, but I know they exist. and even if so, that would seemingly make it clear that their taste lies more in the heaviness/brutality side and so the softer stuff here OF COURSE would be offputting, and the djent isn't exactly what they like in heavy music either.
all i know is this definitely has more sonic range and dynamic than that lol

i'm not sure those terms mean what you think they mean

can rag on Terrasite sure thing, I liked that but it's certainly not as good as this album, just another Cattle Decapitation album, nothing more
|

Why does Cattle Decap keep getting brought up here? 🧐

idk probably the fact that it's "trending" despite really doing nothing new
and if anyone says it's not supposed to be anything other than heavy, I raise you this: Penance by Ingested. Most of their stuff is pretty standard but this stands out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwiZ-V6i-k4

You aren't true metalheads, because you can only listen to metal and everything different is shit for you. Your hating against a band who isn't bad is absolutely unjustified. Respect artist and music, fucking haters. This isn't a review, this is just a heap of bullshit, and if you are good people, trust me, you should be ashamed
lol this is meme worthy

That’s hella lame. People like shit because they do. For multitudinous reasons that are unnecessary to endlessly go into unless we want to. Trying to analyze people to figure their tastes to combat them when they’re against you in one instance or another is going to cause you and others a lot of grief, endlessly

That guy is big mad lol
And yeah, that's a good copy pasta

@MoM: one thing i learned in life is that you can imagine someone's personality somewhat by looking at what they listen to.
certain albums just have that FEELING of music that, say, a high school bully would be jamming in their car after stealing your lunch money. Pantera, 5FDP, etc. are very much in that camp. The toxic-masculine attitudes presented in music like that very much gives me a "the people who are extreme fans of this would probably laugh as they beat me up" kind of feeling.
obviously there's exceptions, and by no means would i say that about like someone who mostly listens to stuff with fantasy-based lyrics, but that feels different.
And with Cattle Decap, you have the elephant in the room of Travis Ryan being a piece of shit and a lot of fans defend his bad actions. Similar to how I saw people taking Duncan Bentley's side when Vulvodynia cut bait with that asshole.

right so analysing music with respect to factors! not! exclusive! to! the! music! itself! is totally off the cards unless there are Hard Proven Non-Inferable Facts or, alternatively, you personally just happen to have enough preconceptions on the go to project an entire strawman's worth of personality over it nice got it
