That one song or the whole album? (I'm guessing that one song since you have this as a 3.5)

'This record isn't bad, I just don't see it as the epic classic everyone sees it as.'

then again, no one sees that nickelback album as the epic classic you see it as

Fair point. But a lot more people like this album. I really wanted to as well. (And we can drop the NB thing, we've already buried that dead horse)

I've never listened to Post-rock before either, so an average for a first experience isn't all that bad. I was just completely expecting something different. I was thinking more epic classical strings mix. Complex, long written songs. I appreciate this album, just don't see the hype yet.

Sounded good until the vocals. Sorry, bit too heavy for my tastes. Try something else.

If you're just going to dismiss music like that, then you don't belong here.

I'm not dismissing it. I just don't like it. I gave it a chance, but Metalcore is really as heavy as I get. (and only select ones). I like to understand my lyrics.

This album definitely grew on me but I wish it was the amazing first listen that other people said it was for them.

Agalloch sounds cool so far. This is considered post-rock? It's much more full than this record.

I can tell it did more than grow on you. (5/5)

The high pitched screams do nothing for me though. They normally drive me away. Do they do that often or only in "Not Unlike The Waves"? (which is what I listened to btw)

Agalloch is a blend of folk metal, black metal, and post rock

Yeah, ISIS didn't do much for me either. I'll look up these other bands later.
