There are very few things that amuse me in this world and Bob's Burgers is one of them. I've laughed as hard at that show as I have anything else ever.

For me it's not even so much the absurdist humor as the somewhat more subtle humor that comes out of getting to know the characters. Indeed, I thought it was kind of dumb at first. Not to say that if you don't like it you just don't "get it" though, fwiw I don't watch too many shows, particularly not comedies

Born to Beg outro is right up there with their best, like the last 20 seconds of Conversation 16

There's definitely a shared lineage in those outros, though I'd be lying if I didn't say I love the ending of Conversation 16 that much more.

Conversation 16 is just perfection from beginning to end

Dark Side of the Gym is my SOTY I think, but I don’t know why it’s titled that; they even said it’s not about a gym when I saw them live haha

The rest of the album > I'll Still Destroy You

But I'm perverse as always

The image of the “dark side of the gym” was very familiar to me right away. Like in middle school PE when we had half the gym lights off because we were only using one side of it- title could be referring to that weird asymmetry there, how half of the ‘gym’ feels unknown and foreboding because it’s not lit, and how the lit half gives you this vantage point to just stare into the unknown
