also the stand man that book is seriously like the pinnacle of post apocalyptic fallout kind of books, after you read it everything similar that came out after it is just a shitty copy of all the brilliant shit king did in the stand.

like even shit like the walking dead, while you're reading the stand there are multiple moments where you are like "wow that shit is straight up just a super weak plagiarized retelling of that one really awesome part in the stand"

Film Studies for me was basically English Lit but with films rather than books/poetry. Was introduced to City of God, La Haine, Once Were Warriors. Wrote about the UK north-south class divide via The Full Monty and integration of Muslims via Bend It Like Beckham and East is East.
