"Is everyone in the Isolation Years club too?"

Yeah man, totally. Super sad song, I love how they end the record with it too.

Classic 3.5 song, but that's all it aspires to be.

Haha. What's it you dislike on this stone-cold classic among classics, Egarran? Or what is missing/superfluous here?

Lots of 5/5 songs here but Isolation Years is just the least awesome song on this album. It's a simple song and there's nothing wrong with that. 3.5 eh? It's a good score, Brett.

But take for example the acoustic parts of Black Rose Immortal. Those are 5/5 because they are fucking mindblowing.

Also, Isolation Years doesn't completely pass the Coldplay Test. Or the Is There A Better Song On Pale Communion? Test.

"Sometimes I wonder, is this their best? It might very well be."

Only you can answer that question.

No not really, Morningrise and MAYH are better.
