1) She's definitely pretentious. Thinks way too highly of herself and it comes across in almost every interview she does. She seems to think she doesn't just make pop music like all of the similar artists she likes to put down.
2) I said the album was average, not bad. And that has nothing to do with it being overplayed, but with the painfully average music.

well i mean from the two songs i've heard, the meaning of the lyrics are completely different than any other pop artist. in fact it's the complete opposite of pop artists:

I get the impression of her trying to come across as clever with some of the lyrics, but never that she thinks really highly of herself. she seems pretty humble and grounded from what I've seen/read.
